Sabudana ( Sago ) Drink Is A Healthy And Energetic Drink, Which Is Especially Liked In Fasting. It Is Easy To Digest And Cooling. Here Is A Simple And Delicious Sabudana ( Sago ) Drink Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/2 Cups Sabudana ( Sago )
- 2 Cups Milk
- 2 Tablespoons Sugar (As Per Taste)
- 1/2 Teaspoons Cardamom Powder
- 5-6 Saffron Threads (Optional)
- 5-6 Almonds And Cashew Nuts (Finely Chopped)
- 1 Cup Water
Method Of Preparation:
- Sabudana ( Sago ) Soaking:
Soak The Sabudana ( Sago ) In Water For 2-3 Hours Or Overnight, So That It Swells.
- Cooking Sabudana( Sago ):
Boil 1 Cup Of Water In A Pan And Add The Soaked Sabudana( Sago ) To It. Cook It On Low Flame Until The Sabudana( Sago ) Becomes Transparent (About 5-7 Minutes), Turn Off The Flame Of The Gas And Filter The Sabudana( Sago ) Well. And After Filtering, Pour Some Cold Water Over It. Cold Water Is Added So That The Process Of Boiling The Sabudana( Sago ) Stops
- Adding Milk:
Now Add 2 Cups Of Milk And Boil On Medium Flame.After The Milk Boils, Add The Filtered Sabudana( Sago ) To The Milk And Stir Continuously So That The Milk And Sabudana( Sago ) Mix Well.
- Sweetener And Flavoring:
When The Milk Starts To Thicken, Add Sugar, Cardamom Powder And Saffron. Cook For Another 2-3 Minutes.
- Garnish And Serve:
Turn Off The Gas And Let The Drink Cool Slightly.
Add Chopped Almonds And Cashew Nuts.
You Can Serve It Hot Or Cold.
